The right light bulb finishes a fixture. Choose the base your lamp requires, the brightness the room needs and a color temperature that suits the space.
How to choose light bulbs
- Base: Check the base listed on your fixture (E26, E12, GU10 and others) before choosing a bulb.
- Brightness: Compare bulbs by lumens, not watts: about 800 lumens replaces a classic 60-watt bulb.
- Color temperature: 2700K is warm and relaxing, 3000K is soft white, and 4000K is neutral and crisp.
- Dimming: Use dimmable bulbs with an LED-compatible dimmer to avoid flicker.
