How to choose rattan floor lamps
- Height: For reading, the bottom of the shade should sit roughly at shoulder height when you are seated, usually 40 to 49 inches from the floor.
- Care: Dust rattan with a soft brush or a vacuum on low; avoid soaking the fibers.
- Placement: Place a reading lamp slightly behind and to the side of the chair; use arc and torchiere lamps to light a whole seating area.
