How to Use

Hang a single pendant above a nightstand, desk or reading chair, or line up two or three over a kitchen island or dining table. Leave about 30 to 36 in (76 to 91 cm) between the bottom of the shade and the surface below. We recommend installation by a licensed electrician.

Care

Always switch off the power and let the bulb cool down before cleaning. Dust the wood with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water and harsh chemicals, which can damage the natural finish.

FAQ

How do I choose the right size?

Simple rule: add the room's length and width in feet. The total is roughly the right fixture diameter in inches (a 14 × 12 ft room needs a fixture about 26 in wide). Over a table, choose a fixture about 12 in narrower than the tabletop.

How high should I hang a pendant light?

Over a table, leave 30 to 36 in (75 to 90 cm) between the bottom of the fixture and the tabletop. In walkways, keep at least 7 ft (2.1 m) of clearance below the light.

Which bulbs should I use?

The bulb base and lighting options are listed in each product's description and options. If you're unsure, contact us before you order.

Can I get advice before I order?

Of course. Email us at contact@lighting-corner.com with the room, its size and the light you have in mind.

THE LIGHTING GUIDE

Which color temperature should I choose?

Color temperature, measured in kelvins (K), changes the whole feel of a room. Here's what you need to know to pick the right light.

FROIDCHAUD

6,000–6,500 K

Cool White

Crisp, bright and energizing, it helps you focus and brings out every detail. Best for task lighting.

Best for: home office, garage, laundry room and work areas.

3,500–4,000 K

Neutral White

Balanced and natural, it shows true colors without feeling too cold or too golden. A versatile everyday choice.

Best for: kitchen, bathroom, entryway and multi-purpose spaces.

2,700–3,000 K

Warm White

Soft and cozy, it creates a calm, inviting atmosphere, perfect for unwinding at the end of the day.

Best for: living room, bedroom, reading nook and dining room.

Key takeaway: the lower the kelvin number, the warmer the light. For a cohesive look, keep the same color temperature throughout a room.
